Family appreciated DCVB materials provided for reunion

I wanted to thank you for the Durham materials your office provided for our family reunion last weekend. We ended up having over 50 out of town family members attend from Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and New Jersey. The adults really loved the Durham African-American history booklet and the Durham church fans were put to great use with the heat. We ended up doing a self-guided walking tour of downtown and Black Wall Street. We've been doing the reunion since 1983 and this is the first time we've had it in Durham. The feedback from the family is that this is the best reunion we've ever had.

The Rickhouse blown away by DCVB's service

"I just wanted to pass along to you our experience in the last few months working with Lauran, and most recently with yesterday's Wedding + Event Open House at The Rickhouse. Since Daniel Kulenic and I met Lauran we have been impressed with her ease of communication and eagerness to help us and our clients in whatever way possible. She has gone beyond every expectation we've had in that vein and has taken imitative to develop such things as event maps and hospitality materials for hotels. At our open house yesterday, when sharing what the CVB now offers they were equally blown away saying things such as, "this is exactly what we need!", and "we were just talking about how we need to do that - it's such a relief to know that service is available to us"

I would be remiss if I did not tell you how helpful she has been to us as a new business downtown. I can only imagine the great work she is doing for so many other businesses in Durham.
